✔Position Summary
Regional Coordinators will lead the implementation of HIV case-based surveillance under his/her supervision and are in charge of ensuring their implementation.
He/she will work in coordination with their regional team members in the development of annual implementation plans, and organize, coordinate, and facilitate capacity-building activities including TOT and rollout training.

Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate the regional HIV CS implementation
Attend the regional technical HIV CS meetings in your capacity as a representative. implementation plans in collaboration with the regional team.
Develop annual Support for the preparation of training guides and other job aids and tools
Organizes, coordinates, and facilitates capacity-building activities including TOT and rollout training.
Conduct continuous and Periodic monitoring in health facilities implementing HIV Case-based surveillance.
Collaborate with the regional team and conduct supportive supervision and site readiness assessment
Establish and maintain successful work relationships with EPHI, RHBS, SWPHI, ICAP, and CDC
Collaborate with the regional team and produce quarterly surveillance reports.
Assist EPHI and region data analysis and visualization of the program data continually document and disseminate program successes, case studies, and lessons learned.
Produce periodic reports and report on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Conducts follow-up activities required for program monitoring.
Supervise the regional team and give feedback regularly.
Undertakes other tasks assigned by his/her supervisor
✓ Job Requirements
Master’s Degree in Field epidemiology, Epidemiology.
More than 5 years experience in public health epidemic surveillance and response
And/OR more than 2 years experience in public health epidemic surveillance and response with related experience in the HIV CBS program.
✔Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Required
Must be able to work with minimum supervision and have strong interpersonal skills and skills to promote teamwork.
Encouraged to have recommendations and certificates on the HIV CBS program.
The incumbent needs to have basic computer skills in statistical applications and preferable that the incumbent have advanced Excel skills.
The incumbent should have basic and having experience in database and data visualization software
Strong oral and written skills in English.
Previous experience working with the EPHI and RHBs is advantageous.
Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship. Must be willing to travel frequently to project activity regions
Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the local health office and associate

Laboratory Adviser
Under the guidance of the SER PHI Lab Directorate, the Laboratory Adviser provides relevant technical support and oversight for all activities related to the HIV/TB diagnostic network and laboratory services in the region. Will build HF laboratory’s capacity for laboratory quality assurance to facilitate effective quality testing to use for better clinical decisions.

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and MSc in Clinical
Laboratory Science (laboratory management and Quality assurance or
Microbiology Bacteriology Parasitology or hematology) and at least 10/8 years of experience in medical laboratory testing respectively, and more than 1 year of experience in managing and coordinating different programs like EQA activities.
Job Requirements
Has TOT/ basic training on rapid HIV testing, LQMS, and EID/VL Testing. SLMTA (SLPTAL TB LF LAM, AFB microscopy, etc.
Ability to support regional laboratories and testing sites in EQA testing. reporting, evaluating, and utilizing all the time
Demonstrated expertise in medical laboratory sciences with adequate knowledge of Quality Management System Implementation, SLPTA, and Accreditation
Ability to work with regional laboratory.
Ability to objectively analyze situations and make recommendations for decisions and outstanding reports.
Demonstrated experience in EQA utilization and performance evaluation in medical laboratory testing service
Have good communication skills both in English and Amharic
Computer skills (Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Spreadsheet, and others)

Job Description
• Coordinate and provide technical assistance in planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Rapid HIV, Recency testing, EID/VL testing TB LF LAM, AMR, LQMS, and EQA programs at ART health facilities and regional laboratories.
• Provide technical assistance to the Regional Referral Laboratory (RRLs) in developing/updating different guidelines, registers, working formats, monitoring, and evaluation indicators.
Support and ensure overall HIV/TB Diagnostic service and quality assurance activities in the regions
Give technical advice on Proficiency Testing participation of HFs and regional laboratories
Facilitate and provide technical support for the implementation of International/
National External Quality Assessment Scheme (IEQAS/NEQAS) and
Regional External Quality Assessment Scheme (REQAS) in the regions.
Provide relevant technical guidance and oversight for all activities related to the TB diagnostic network and laboratory services.
Strengthening health system platforms for HIV/TB services and generating local evidence for program improvement and learning.
Organize and provide/facilitate HIV/TB testing basic training for health facilities in collaboration with the RRLs and EPHI
Provide technical support to facilities in the preparation of proficiency testing panels for IQC/EQA, distribution, and feedback provision.
Facilitate and support the revision, printing, distribution, and proper utilization of ART testing SOPs, different formats, and registers.
Participate in the regional/national TWG and performance review meetings.
participate in health facility mentoring and joint supportive supervision with RHBs and RRLS.
Prepare and evaluate the annual work plan with targeted benchmark indicators
